Just a reminder that, instead of our discussion group, Tuesday, April 5th, 2011 will be this year’s Annual General Meeting, starting at 7:00 pm. Everyone is invited to attend, however only paying members will be permitted to vote in the general election or on any other business. Annual membership can be purchased before the meeting for $10 from 6:30 pm-7:00 pm. On the agenda for this meeting are the following: – General Election: We will be holding elections for all positions; that is President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and four Directorships. If you’d like to run for any of these positions, simply ask another member to nominate you at the appropriate point during the meeting, or you may also self-nominate. – Mission Statement and directions: There was a brief discussion at last month’s General Meeting about creating a broader and more forward-thinking mission for the SEA. We will be discussing this new mandate and would like member input. The AGM will be happening at our usual location: Room 6-07 at the Stanley A. Milner Library, 7 Sir Winston Churchill Square. The elevator will not take you past the second floor at that time of day. Kindly ask one of the security guards at the front entrance to let you up to the sixth floor.
