Society of Edmonton Atheists member, Harriet H, is issuing a challenge to all of us to help out with the ‘Tools For School” program in Edmonton. Harriet went along to Breakfast Televisions Event in the park a few days ago to make her donation towards the program, the event hoped to fill a bus with school supplies to distribute to those families in our region who have limited resources.
According to the Edmonton Public Schools website, over 4500 school kits were distributed to families in need last year alone.
Donations can be made at any Staples location across the city, or you can go to the website for information on how to give a monetary donation
The program runs until August 31st.
I was fortunate enough to hear Peter Boghossian speak at Imagine No Religion 3 in Kamloops this year, and noticed a call out on his facebook page this evening. Peter is going to have the chance to interview Richard Dawkins and he’s asking for our questions!
