The library had to cancel our room booking for October Round Table due to an event requiring all their space, so we will instead be headed to the University.

The new location is the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA) room 1-190 (first floor on north end by Starbucks) at the University of Alberta.  The ECHA is located directly behind the Health Sciences/Jubilee LRT station.  The time remains the same (7pm start) and we will also be looking at heading to Sherlock Holmes on Campus afterwards.

Prof Glen Fairen will be joining us to discuss what makes something ”religion” vs ”magic or the occult”.
As of August he has his Phd in religious studies through the UofA. He has a BA and MA from the Univerisity of Regina. His normal area of expertise is early Christian heretics and how these folks are studies by modern scholars ( check out his published book As Below So Above) and he is the resident witchcraft expert at the UofA.

He considers himself an evangelical atheist
